Keep The ¢hange is a program that will round up your debit card transaction to the nearest dollar and send the spare change from your checking account to your savings account.
 

Example

 

You spend $124.36 on groceries (round up $0.64).

You spend $34.16 on gas (round up $0.84).

You spend $3.88 on coffee (round up $0.12).

The total of the three transactions, $1.60, will be debited from your checking account and credited to your savings account at the end of the processing day.

What accounts are eligible for Keep The ¢hange?

To participate in Keep The ¢hange, you will need an F&M checking account and debit card, as well as an F&M savings account. Certificates of deposit, IRAs and business accounts are not eligible.
 

How often are transfers made to my designated savings account?

The transfer to your savings account is made at the end of each processing day and will equal the round up amount accumulated from the day's transactions. If you do not have sufficient funds available, the transfer will not occur. Processing days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. For transactions made on federal holidays, the transfer will take place on the next processing day.
 

If I have a joint account, is the joint owner able to participate?
Yes. When the primary account owner enrolls in the program, all debit cards tied to the enrolled checking account will participate in the program. Individual debit cards cannot be enrolled or removed.
